History of Gender Rebels
Started in 2017 and originally named Gender Rebels Cork, the organisation, hosted by trans people for trans people, provides free community support, knowledge, and kinship towards a welcoming community for the transgender population.
Previously hosted by LINC and the Sexual Health Centre and currently hosted by Gay Project located in Sawmill Street Cork, Gender Rebels has found a supportive and welcoming environment to continue its mission of fostering community and providing peer support for transgender, intersex, and non-binary individuals, advocating for the rights of the Trans+ Community.

Located in the heart of Cork city, the only city on the island of Ireland to have become a member of the International Rainbow Cities Network, we are proud to offer a welcoming and inclusive space for the Trans community.
Hosting monthly in-person peer support events, Gender Rebels works towards providing safe and accepting spaces for transgender, intersex, and non-binary individuals to connect, share experiences, and build a supportive community.
Our trans-exclusive events provide both structured peer-support sessions and casual events such as game nights to foster a sense of community, belonging, and mutual support.

Gender Rebels is a peer-support service hosted and supported by volunteers.
