Gender Rebels CLG Public Statement
Gender Rebels Company Limited by Guarantee has begun the process of formally dissolving following a unanimous vote by the Board of Directors at the Extraordinary General Meeting on 27 July 2026. This decision was made after a period of governance disruption which created instability the organisation could not safely or sustainably overcome. As a result, the CLG will be wound down through voluntary strike‑off, all legal and administrative functions will cease, and associated assets such as the website, email, and physical materials will be closed or donated. This decision reflects a need to protect the community and ensure future work can continue without the structural vulnerabilities introduced during recent events.
Gender Rebels will now return to its original grassroots format, and community‑facing activities will continue under that model. The mission of supporting and advocating for trans and gender‑diverse people remains unchanged, and the heart of the work continues. Updates during this transition will be shared through Instagram, and those wishing to stay informed are encouraged to provide their email through the linked form. The committee will take the remainder of August and partial September off to rest and prepare for the upcoming season and AGM‑related activities. Thank you for your understanding and continued care for one another.
